In the garden….

 What we grow

Chard, Cabbage, Sprouts, Potatoes, Kale, Lettuce, Coriander, Spinach, Herbs, Jerusalem Artichokes, Leeks, Beetroot, Radish, Tomatoes, Runner beans, Dwarf beans, French beans, Onions, Carrots, Parsnip, Broccoli, Peas, Sweetcorn, Pumpkin, Squash, Courgette, Marrow, Shallots, Garlic.

Fruit Trees including, Apple, Plum, Pear, Quince, Fig and Peach.

Fruit including Blackcurrant, Gooseberry, Raspberry and Strawberry.

We also have grapevines running up the building and perimeter wall.

In addition to the fruit and vegetables we grow a number of flowers, both edible and not, to encourage helpful insects.

Our Wildlife Area includes wild flowers, a bug hotel and bird tables, all of which contribute to the bio-diversity of the garden.

We have 3 large compost bins, built by the Wood Recycling Project to compost all our organic waste from the kitchen and the garden. At the end of the garden is our polytunnel, which we use for growing seedlings, veg, and it enables us to grow plants during the winter months.
