After 27th October 2017, please send all enquiries regarding The Bridge Community Centre to the Chair of Trustees, Jay Kramer, at [email protected]

Many thanks.

The Bridge opened in in May 2006 as a result of the community’s efforts and initiative in raising the funding, agreeing the design and overseeing the building process. The building is a fantastic example of modern design which hosts a wide range of facilities for all generations. It is managed by a social enterprise. Any profit generated by the organisation is re-invested for the benefit of the local community.

The centre offers:

  • Two training/ meeting rooms
  • IT facilities
  • A training kitchen
  • A children’s area
  • A community garden
  • A cafe
  • A coffee lounge

At the heart of The Bridge is a popular café which serves healthy food at reasonable prices. The café offers the opportunity of training in catering and food preparation for local residents and volunteers. It also has an Internet café and children’s play area open to all, making it a good place to meet friends or colleagues. For those who prefer to have a cuppa in slightly quieter surroundings, we have a coffee lounge. This is upstairs (level access from the road), and has comfortable chairs and sofas, and our book stall is positioned in there.

Many local groups use The Bridge for activities such as: training courses, cooking courses, playgroups, local history and art groups.

Exhibition space is also available for budding Hastings artists and film-makers.
